Nap Time

After picking up Jake at midnight and getting up early for the gym, an afternoon nap seemed in order. Ebby is the best nap buddy a girl can ask for. He snuggles in, provides a little warmth, and fully commits to the nap. Today he decided to be an undercover snuggle bug. I love this boy. I am so lucky and grateful to have him. :)

Binky Boo needs two beds

Apparently sometimes one bed just isn't enough. Sometimes a boy needs one to rest on and one to nurse on. Oh my Inky Binky Boo Bear!

Well...its been quite a while since I have updated this blog. A lot has happened since that last post. Bert has come home (and left for a year and come home again), we both started CrossFit at CrossFit SoCal, and now I work there, too! I am so grateful CrossFit and CFSC have come into my life. Life in general is good. Lay is 8 now and Ebby is 6 which I cannot quite believe. The good news is that they still have the energy of puppies! I'll get to everything else over time. For now, here are a few recent(ish) pictures of the babies. Enjoy!

Oh the joy of being a puppy....

Last night as I sat at the laptop typing an email I looked up to see my precious Ebby walking toward me with one of Daddy's feather pillows in tow. If only I had had the camera at that very moment! He was carrying it so that the rip across the middle of the pillow and all of the remaining feathers inside were visible. The rest were making a trail down the hall and into the bedroom. When I finally found the courage to take a look, I found our bed as well as the floor surrounding it (all three sides) looking as if a snowstorm had hit. I suppose when you nurse on a feather pillow but you have big boy teeth, something like this is bound to happen.....

Creatures Great and Small......

Last night Ms.Mandalay stood on the patio barking. Not a "Hey other dogs whats going on out there!?!" or "Hey you, other animal in my yard- get out of here!" bark, but more like a, "Mom, there is something on my patio and I want it off!" type of bark. And so, being the good mommy that I am, I went to check it out. And this was the big, bad problem on her patio:

"I just know its leaving slimey yuckiness on my rug...."

"I'm watching you...."

"Can we eat it!?!"

We were so happy to spend the 2006 holidays with some family from out of town- Grandma, Grandpa, & Jake from IL, Aunt Jill from AZ, and Grandma Carol from FL. We had so much fun visiting with everyone and of course, opening our presents!! And the prime rib wasn't too bad, either...... (thanks Daddy!).
